Say Yes

I have been in the beautiful nation of Guatemala now for nearly one month. Within that month I have witnessed the Lord move in ways that I have never experienced outside of the complexity of this mission field. And despite my limited time in this gorgeous, diverse, and significantly life-altering environment, I genuinely feel as though this place and these people feel like an awakened dream I never imagined I’d be graced with.

The Lord has opened up doors that I never considered were possibilities for me. From deeply meaningful conversations with perfect strangers to beautiful, vivid God-given visions on the rooftop of our residence. From visiting delicious coffee shops to witnessing miraculous healings at the hands of my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. God is moving in the land of Guatemala, and I am more than grateful He has given me the call to partner with Him on this incredible journey.

I am beyond thankful for the privilege of stepping into more revelation of who He is. Now more than ever before He has exposed His heart to me in ways that have entirely dismantled the trajectory of my original understanding of His character. And all that I was before stepping out on faith on this Race I’ve inherited is only a fraction of the daughter God is calling me to become.

My prayer today is that you would step deeper into the love of God like never before. That you would receive more of Him and in turn surrender all of yourself. I pray that as you read these words, the love of God would pierce your heart in the same way it’s pierced my own, and that all that you feel would only be the start to all that you will do for His name and His kingdom.

His is a love so much greater than we can ever experience through the hearts of humanity. And He’s asking us to take His hand and trust in all that He is, rather than trusting in all that we are not.

And the only thing we have to do, the only thing we have to give is “Yes.”

  1. Aliseya, you write so beautifully, and with such grace and truth. I certainly experienced this: “I pray that as you read these words, the love of God would pierce your heart in the same way it’s pierced my own…”

  2. What a treat to be along for your journey deeper into God’s true heart. He truly delights in you, and the time you spend with Him! I loved so much about this blog, especially this line: “He has exposed His heart to me in ways that have entirely dismantled the trajectory of my original understanding of His character.”
